RB Camera Club – February 2011 – by Hazel Bigham
As I write this page the weather has turned very mild but wet and rather windy, the moisture laden air coming across the Atlantic in a South Westerly direction. This is completely different to the weather we had late last year.
Tony Houlden lives and works in Riseholme and was able to get out and about to take some lovely images of the snow and haw frost. This month we are delighted to be able to show you two of them. Other snowy images can be found in our Snow Gallery on the webite.
The last weekend in January is the Big Garden Birdwatch and we are asked by the RSPB to spend an hour counting the birds in our garden and then input them on the web. Lots of people take part in the biggest annual survey of birds in the country. It will be interesting to see how many of our feathered friends survived the bad weather.
